JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson man accused of killing his brother-in-law after Christmas was in the Hinds County jail Wednesday.

Rhenthyne Green, 34, is being held on $50,000 bond for murder and aggravated assault.

Police say on December 27th, Green fatally stabbed his wife's brother, 22-year-old Kenneth Perry Jr., at the Edgewood Terrace apartment complex in north Jackson.

Officers say Green also stabbed his wife's step-father, 48-year-old Earl Thomas, who was treated at a local hospital and later released.

Perry had come home from military duty for the holidays. His funeral will be Saturday at True Worship Ministry on Clinton Boulevard.

If you'd like to help the family with burial expenses, you can make a donation at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home.
