Premier Bridal Show attracts thousands

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

It takes lots of planning to pull off a bride's fantasy wedding, but Mississippi's largest bridal show makes it all happen in one day, at one location.

Thousands of brides-to-be attended the Premier Bridal Show at the Jackson Convention Center.

Models walked the runway in the latest in wedding gowns, bridal attire, dresses for the mother of the bride and tuxedos.

Seventy six vendors offered everything for that special day from invitations to flowers, music to catering and the honeymoon.

Organizers said there are new trends for the wedding season which starts in April and ends in mid November.

"You're seeing more lace and romance. You're seeing less strapless and the big thing you saw on a lot of gowns today are the belts, the decorative belts and sashes. So a lot of the gowns have them. It take the dress from maybe ordinary to extraordinary," said Premier Bridal Show owner Lynda Jungkind.

This is the ninth year the event has been held.
