JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Guys and some girls envisioned being seated behind the wheel of some of the fastest machines to come out of Detroit during an annual car show in the Capital City.
The 24th Annual BankPlus Racing Vehicle Extravaganza drew car lovers and racing enthusiasts from across the region.
More than 150 radical custom, antique, classic and racing vehicles filled the Mississippi Trade Mart.
There were bright shiny paint jobs and supped up engines as far as the eye could see.
Cars from the early 1920's to the 2011 Corvette were all competing in over 100 classes for Best in Show.
"These are our own Mississippi owners and drivers. We have drivers from throughout our state that bring their race cars here to share them with all the people so this is our exhibition," said car show promoter Bill Bissell.
The vehicle extravaganza will celebrate its 25th year when it returns the first week in January 2012.
