Newly elected Supervisor Stokes endorses candidate

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Just days after former Ward 3 Jackson City Councilman Kenneth Stokes was sworn in as a Hinds County Supervisor, he endorsed a candidate Sunday afternoon to fill his vacant seat.

LaRita Cooper-Stokes, wife of the newly sworn-in Supervisor, is vying for the post.

Cooper-Stokes said, " I am here today to announce my candidacy for Ward 3. Ward 3 is the heart of Jackson and I have a heart for the job."
