Showers, High 72
The early morning round of rain started and really not expected to finish until some time tonight. Showers started off the morning with some impressive numbers to the south of I-20 in the Magnolia State. McComb recorded more than 1 1/4 inches of rain by early morning. Today's high is expected reach 72 degree with 100% chance of rain. Winds will be SE 10-15 mph.
Tonight the showers will continue with a second round of rain that could turn a bit strong if not severe. The low pressure system that is acting as the main guiding force of this rain will pass along the north west corner of the state. That will open the door for more instability in the atmosphere, keeping the threat of storms very much alive after the sun goes down. Overnight lows will fall into the 40s.
Tomorrow we'll start off a bit rainy in the early morning hours in the north eastern portions of the state. But the frontal boundary with a mix of warm and cool air will lift to the east and settle things down for Wednesday; and cool it off at all. Highs will reach into the upper 50s, slightly above the norm for this time of the year!
Quick note, Friday morning is going to be REALLY, REALLY COLD! We'll start off the morning at 25 degrees or lower is some areas. So brace for a reminder from Jack Frost that it's STILL the winter season, despite the mild weather as of late.
