Wednesday's Child - Gunner

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

This week's Wednesday's Child has been featured several times in the hopes of finding a forever family.

We last talked with Gunner in October of 2010.

He has spent years saving money and at 17 is still waiting for a family to save him.

Gunner is a gentleman.

He is very courteous and respectful.

"I like doing science and stuff like that. And when I grow up I want to be an inventor. Really, what kinds of things would you like to invent? Cars, you know like hover, like skateboards, hover boards and stuff," Gunner said..

Gunner likes most sports. He has played soccer but says playing against the computer at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum presents a new challenge.

"When you get started playing it, you don't really like it, but then once you get the stern up you actually like to play it more," Gunner said.

Gunner says he is ready for an adoptive family.

"I like to be around cool people, you know like people who actually enjoy me. And it doesn't matter what race they are as long as I get a family," Gunner said. "And, It doesn't matter how much money they got cause I can handle that,"

Gunner has other siblings he will need to maintain contact with.

He tells his social workers his two best friends are his brother and sister.

"Whenever I was really young I didn't really have a family, you know, and I barely knew my parents so that's why," Gunner said. "How long have you been in foster care, do you know? About six, seven years."
