
They get a paycheck for what they do. But, Thursday night, 157 city of Jackson employees got dinner and a collective pat on the back from Mayor Harvey Johnson for their years of dedicated service.
The employee recognition program is an annual event and Thursday night two workers, Marva Anderson and Alberta Johnson were recognized for 35 years of service with the city.
The event was held at Fondren Hall on State Street.
