JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Police Officer Colendula Green confirms to WLBT News that Stuart M. Irby's body was found by his caretaker inside his home at 3940 Stuart Place in the Eastover Community.

The caretaker called AMR and Irby, 58, was pronounced dead at 8:24, but Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart ruled the time of death was 9:04 PM officially.

Jackson Police says the overseer lives on the property and takes care of it and Irby's medical needs.

The caretaker spoke with Irby around 4:30 and there was nothing out of the ordinary and Irby gave no indication that he would arm himself.

Coroner Stewart confirms Irby used a rope to hang himself.

No foul play is suspected.

Authorities will not confirm if a note was left.

A week ago his former wife, Karen, was granted conditional clemency by outgoing Governor Haley Barbour.

She had plead guilty to killing two doctors in a fiery collision in Jackson on Old Canton Road in 2009.

Stuart was a passenger in that accident where he suffered brain damage.

An independent psychiatric evaluation stated that he had severe permanent brain injury and was incapable of making reasoned decisions.

WLBT News has learned friends and family members were on the scene Tuesday night, including Irby's brother.
