Wednesday's Child - Paige

FLOWOOD, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

It is much harder to find adoptive homes for teenagers.

We first met this week's Wednesday's Child when she was 14 years old in 2009.

She turned 17 in December and soon she will age out of the system.

She says the time for her to find a forever family is running out.

Paige was experimenting with her language and hair the last time we met.

"My hobbies are writing poems about boys. Okay what else? Hanging out with my friends, shooting hoops, swimming," Paige said.

Paige says most people like her personality.

"I'm funny, I'm easy going, I'm easy to get along with, I'm very friendly, I love people, I love hanging out with people," Paige said.

She likes school but says there is one subject she likes most.

"Probably reading is my best subject. Wonderful, what kind of books do you like to read? Mysteries, scary stuff," Paige said.

Paige says her love for people and animals helped her decide what she wants to do with her life.

"A Vet. Why do you want to be a Vet? Cause I like animals and I like working around people. What are your favorite animals? Horses and dogs," Paige said.

Paige says she wants parents or a parent who can accept her but she is not totally convinced about adoption.

"Cause I mean I've been through a lot you know, and I need a family. And the part of you that doesn't? Cause I'm scared," Paige said.
