Suspect in Pike County murder arrested

PIKE COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The man suspected of killing a teenager in Pike County Tuesday night has been arrested in Kenner, Louisiana.

Authorities in Kenner located 25-year-old Damion Ferguson in a house. He will be extradited to Pike county to face armed robbery and attempted armed robbery charges. He will also be questioned in the murder of 19-year-old Deairrika Conerly of McComb.

Conerly's body was found by a passer-by on Alford Bridge, on Alford Bridge Road. She died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
