JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Looking for something to do Saturday?. Well head to downtown Jackson, that's where the appetite for Jackson Festival will take place.

The nationally televised Travel Channel will tape the event for it's new show Appetite For Life. The host of the new show Appetite for Life is Andrew Zimmern.

The Jackson restaurant community will turn out in force with great food. Workers were busy Friday transforming the Mississippi Museum of Art Garden into a showplace. Supporters say it's just another way to focus on the positives of downtown Jackson.

"We have a lot of treasures here in Jackson and across the state. We have wonderful food, some wonderful talented people and we know that they saw a good thing and they decided to come here," said Jenny Tate, MS Museum of Art Marketing Director.

The Travel Channel team will be in Jackson Saturday and Sunday, taste-testing lots of food for its new show. The event will feature a number of bands including Jewel Bass.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

All proceeds will benefit Craig Noone's Miracle League.
