Authorities search for missing Louisiana man

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Adams County authorities are investigating the disappearance of a Louisiana man whose vehicle was founded abandoned on the side of the road.

Shaun Thornhill, 41,  of Mangham Louisiana was reported missing Tuesday after his truck was found on the side of Kingston Road south of Natchez.

Thursday and Friday search and rescue crews with the Adams County Sheriff's Department combed more than 600 acres near where the vehicle was left.

Thornhill's sister Christel Wyant told WLBT Saturday that he is a pipeline worker and was last seen Sunday at a St. Francesville Louisiana motel.

Family members believe his disappearance is suspicious and fear for his safety.

Adams County law enforcement officials said the search was called off Friday but search crews are waiting for creek levels in the area to go down to continue.

Thornhill is a white male 5'10" weighing 180 pounds.

He has blue eyes and dark short hair.

If you have seen Shaun Thornhill or know where he is contact the Adams County Sheriff's Department at 601-442-2752.
