The two rankin county women accused of a series of home burglaries in various Rankin County neighborhoods returned to circuit court for their preliminary hearings, Tuesday. Carrie Aycock and Melissa Comans appeared before circuit judge Kent McDaniel facing several charges including home burglary.
Rankin County investigators testified that Aycock and Comans were involved in multiple home break-ins earlier this month in the Castlewood, Hidden Hills and Forest Pointe subdivisions. Investigators said that the burglaries follow the same pattern. There was forced entry at the back door and the primary target were electronics.
The suspects in these cases stole thousands of dollars worth of flat screen televisions, computers and video game consoles.
Aycock, 36, of Florence and Comans, 33, of Pearl, have not posted bond and remain in custody.
