
Myrlie Evers-Williams, the widow of slain civil rights activist Medgar Evers, has been named Distinguished Scholar-In-Residence at Alcorn State University.
Alcorn St. President M. Christopher Brown II says Evers-Williams will teach seminars in the ASU Department of Social Sciences, prepare her archival papers for the library deposit and develop a research center focusing on social justice.
