The family of a Vicksburg man, severely beaten and robbed in Jackson Sunday, has hired an attorney and scheduled a press conference for Thursday morning.
Attorney Winston Thompson will issue a statement and answer questions.
Surveillance video from Tri-Miss Recycling on Woodrow Wilson Avenue shows two men wearing hoodies, sneak up on Fred Louis Jackson, viciously beat him, then steal cash, checks and other belongings. Jackson Police are still searching for those suspects.
Family members say the 61 year old Jackson remains in very critical condition at UMC. He was struck in the head multiple times with a blunt object.
