RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
The suspect involved in a high speed chase with authorities earlier this week is now out of the hospital.
The Rankin County Sheriff's Department says Kristopher Lambert of Kokomo was receiving treatment for the injuries sustained in his accident prior to the pursuit.
Authorities say Lambert stole a pick-up truck Tuesday night which led to a chase with sheriff's deputies on Highway 43.
By the time it was over, he had led authorities on Interstates 20 and 55 through Pearl, Brandon and into Hinds County.
The 31-year-old has been booked into the Rankin County jail. He faces charges of auto theft, felony fleeing, giving false information to a police officer and leaving the scene of an accident.
Authorities also discovered there is a warrant out for Lambert for probation violation through the MS Department of Corrections.
