A state lawmaker has been found to be in violation of the Ethics in Government law.
Kevin McGee, the Republican Representative of Rankin County's District 59, has been ordered to repay $346,554.06 to the state. He was also fined an additional 50-thousand-dollars.
McGee is part owner and president of Service Printers of Flowood.
A Mississippi Ethics Commission investigation revealed Service Printers received more than $428,000 worth of state printing contracts after McGee took office in January 2008.
The state constitution and state ethics laws prohibit legislators from doing business with state government. Ethics commissioners determined McGee's company had hundreds of printing contracts with 26 different state agencies since he took office.
Representative McGee could not be reached for comment.
