More Moisture Makes For Bad Hair Day

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The early morning commute in Adams, Jefferson and southern Claiborne counties included a brief sprinkle. However the majority of us were simply dealing with either mostly cloudy skies or believe it or not, clear conditions. The light rain wasn't a big deal, but a brief 'cameo' appearance at best, expect highs near 60 under mostly cloudy skies. Wind will be north at 5-10 mph.

Tonight increasing clouds will keep the moisture content in the atmosphere on the high side, so don't be surprised to see the clouds thicken quickly as the sun goes down. However the chill in the air will still be present as well, temps will drop to the lower 40s to upper 30s. Winds will stay relatively light.

Tomorrow we'll still warm up above the norm for this time of the year, expecting highs in the lower 60s. Another round of rain for everyone will be on Friday. Additionally, the current River Flood warnings wills stay in effect all day for Yazoo, Madison, Attala and Holmes counties. We'll keep a close eye on the river levels with the latest during the noon show.
