Mother & daughter survive house fire

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A south Jackson mother and daughter have survived an early morning house fire, which broke out Tuesday. Jackson Firefighters have extinguished the blaze at the home in the 1700 block of Wiggins Road.

Lois Titley and her elderly mother, Mary Wilkerson, made it out of the home and watched as JFD crews fought the fire.

Jackson fire investigators are now trying to determine what caused the fire to start.
