There appears to be a runoff in the election of a new Alderman-at-Large for the city of Ridgeland.
Former District 3 Madison County Supervisor D.I. Smith leads the four candidates with 794 votes.
Mortgage banker Wint McGee, the son of Ridgeland mayor Gene McGee, picked up 546 votes.
Current alderman Brian Ramsey followed with 285 and Attorney Cassandra Walter received 262 votes.
56 write-ins will be counted Wednesday.
Smith and McGee face each other in a runoff February 21st.
The seat opened up after longtime Alderman-at-Large Gerald Steen resigned to take the District 3 Supervisor's post he won in 2011.
