BYRAM, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
The search for a woman who may have jumped from the Pearl River bridge at Byram has been called off.
Rankin County EOC put boats in the water with sonar equipment earlier this afternoon as a precaution.
According to reports, a woman was driving along the road just before 2 PM Tuesday afternoon and saw a woman standing on the bridge. She turned around and went back to check on her and she wasn't there.
There's was also information that the woman was picked up by a passing vehicle.
Authorities called off the search after about three hours.
