Hump day has arrived once again and I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT this Wednesday.

Mississippi corrections officials said they were preparing to execute death row inmate Edwin Hart Turner this evening after a federal appeals court vacated an order blocking his execution.

Will marijuana be legalized in Mississippi? There's such a bill in the legislature, but it won't mean everyone could light up whenever they felt like it. Capitol reporter Mike McDaniel has that story.

Also, a month after former Gov. Haley Barbour ended two terms in office by pardoning nearly 200 people including convicted killers, Mississippi's highest court will take up the issue of whether those pardons complied with the letter of the law.
