
A Jackson man was sentenced to prison in connection with a 2010 shooting Wednesday.
David Waits was found guilty of manslaughter in a Hinds County courtroom. He was then ordered to serve20 years in prison.
Authorities say Waits shot Wavious McGee 17 times on April 9, 2010.
According to witnesses, the two men got into an argument at the S and S Exxon gas station, at the corner of Bailey Avenue and Woodrow Wilson. And, that led to the shooting.
