The early morning rainfall has made the streets and the highways slick with plenty of puddles. The showers are expected to stick around the duration of the morning and afternoon hours, possibly as much as .75" - 1.5" in total for some areas. Expect highs to reach only into the lower 50s and winds S 10-15 mph.
Tonight the arctic air from the north will make a hostile take over of our pleasant 'spring' like weather - say hello to real winter temps! We will drop to near freezing temps, quickly zapping us back to reality. And this is just the start of the reality check, the winds for tomorrow will really kick in the chill. Overnight winds shifting from the south to the north.
Tomorrow will be a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine, but there's a SERIOUS catch: the winds! Expect cutting winds from the north and north west at 15-25 mph. Additionally we'll have gusts up to 35 mph from the north with highs only climbing into the 40s. So that means it will feel like freezing (AT BEST) for the entire day.
Sunday morning will stay cold, the start of the day is expected to drop the temps to near 20 degrees. This may be the coldest day of the entire winter season, so break out the real winter coats for church service. During the day we'll only warm to the mid 40s.
