JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A suspected car thief is on the loose following a chase with Jackson Police Friday morning. Police were pursuing a red, SUV, which was reported as stolen, and the vehicle eventually stopped at Kim's Seafood Restaurant on Ridgewood Rd.
The suspected thief, who could only be described as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, fled the vehicle and remains on the run.
The vehicle was reportedly stolen around Atkins Blvd., and the brief chase ended on Ridgewood Rd., just north of Atkins.
We have not received any reports of injuries as a result of the police chase.
