Man shot in night club parking lot

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

An argument in the parking lot of a Jackson night club led to gunfire Friday night.

J.P.D. Officer Colendula Green said police responded to the scene at Couples Lounge in the 4400 block of Byrd Drive.

Just before midnight investigators said 39 year old Harold Holiday of Jackson was shot twice in the chest.

According to witnesses, Holiday argued with 39 year old Alfred Martin of Jackson.

Martin then produced a handgun and opened fire.

Officers arrested Martin shortly after the shooting.

Police said Holiday is listed in stable condition at a local hospital.
