Conditions right for sleet & rain

Good Monday morning from WLBT's Brandon Artiles!

Depending on where you are in the viewing area we're on the fence as it concerns freezing. And with rain in the atmosphere, Meteorologist Paul Williams says we're walking the tight rope between sleet and rain. Either why things are going to be slick and Paul will tell us all about it in his First Alert Forecast.

Making headlines, locally Jackson Firefighters are recuperating after a busy Sunday battling three house fires. Now, JFD investigators are looking into what caused fires and if they are connected.

Nationally, while honoring the industry's best during the Grammy's Awards last night, the music world also paid tribute and said goodbye to Whitney Houston.

And in politics, while Andy Taggart occupies the red corner, there's a substitute for Jere Nash in the blue corner. The fur will fly as the commentators trade barbs on which Republican candidate for president will present the biggest challenge to President Barack Obama come November, in today's Red/Blue Review.

We will bring you all those stories and much more at the top of the hour.

Please join us from 5 to 7 and have a great Monday!
