Taking antibiotics for symptoms of a sinus infection won't help.
Researchers studied over one hundred fifty patients diagnosed with sinusitis. Half were given an antibiotic, the other half were given sugar pills. Neither treatment made a difference in recovery time or days missed from work.
Researchers believe antibiotics should be given as a last resort.
