In recent years, cell phones and the Internet have created new dangers for teenagers. So, on Thursday morning, the students at Sumner Junior High School in Clinton received a lesson in what not to do when using the web and their cell phones.
Leah Campbell from the Attorney General's office presented information about sexting and cyber-bullying. She hoped to get the message across that online and cell phone actions have permanent consequences.
Sumner Hill principal, Austin Brown says the school doesn't have a big bullying problem, but they do enforce their bullying policy when necessary.
"From the school standpoint, we obviously speak with both parties" said Brown. "We have a written policy where if needed we would involve the parents which is a very important piece to this as well, getting parents involved so they're aware of what's going on," said Brown.
