Suspect arrested in woman's death

Washington County authorities have arrested a suspect in Wednesday's fatal shooting of a 34-year-old woman.

Sheriff's Department Assistant Chief Deputy Billy Barber tells the Delta Democrat Times (http://bit.ly/xQtR0D ) that Theresa Oswald's body was found on the kitchen floor from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

Barber says 53-year-old David Pearson, identified as the woman's boyfriend, has been charged with murder. Pearson was being held without bond pending an initial court appearance.

Barber says it appears the shooting was the result of an argument between the two.
