Hinds County deputies are still searching for two men wanted for dragging a deputy Thursday afternoon during a traffic stop.
"We know who were looking for. We wanna give them an opportunity to turn themselves in," said Captain Joseph Daughtry.
The incident happened on Sheppard Road near North State. Deputies responded to the area, looking for a man who fled a traffic stop.
When deputies stopped another car they suspected of being involved, Deputy Ian McMillin was somehow tangle on the car, and dragged 20 feet. McMillin suffered scrapes and bruises.
The vehicle was wrecked a short distance away, and the two passengers bailed out. The Sheriff's department says they found drugs and scales and other paraphernalia.
Deputy David Cox was also injured responding to assist the dragged deputy, when his patrol car collided with another car on I-220. Cox was hospitalized. His exact injuries are unknown.
