The spirit of Mardi Gras spread throughout the River City Sunday afternoon.
The Vicksburg Mardi Gras parade rolled through the historic downtown streets bringing fun and excitement to parade goers.
The carnival season began Sunday.
Saturday's downpours delayed the event for one day.
It was a beautiful sunny day for families to take in the colorful floats, live bands, antique cars and Mardi Gras festivities.
Hot rods, four wheelers, trucks and motorcycles fell in line, cruising from Washington Street to Jackson Street.
It was all about collecting the bright shiny beads and tokens tossed to the hundreds who filled the streets.
This is the 11th year the Vicksburg Mardi Gras Parade has been held.
