Watch Out For a Late Night Sprinkle & Mid Week Rain

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The early morning weather featured a reminder 'chill' in the air that it's still February in Mississippi, that along with some patchy fog. Mostly clearing skies during the afternoon hours will allow us to warm up well beyond the norm for this time of the year. This afternoon mostly sunny skies and a high will make it feel like Friday weather on a Monday afternoon. Winds from the southeast 10-15 mph.

Tonight a few more clouds are expected as a relatively weak cold front approaches us from the west. We could see isolated showers for tonight, slight chance with that front getting closer. The warming winds will be from the south at 10-15 mph; only a 10-25% chance of showers.

Tomorrow partly sunny skies in the morning hours, with a slight chance of some patchy fog will be the expectation. It will be even warmer as well, highs will reach into the upper 60s. And we're expecting it to get even warmer by mid week; winds west 10-15 mph.
