The management office at a southwest Jackson apartment complex has been locked up by the Hinds County Sheriff's Department.
There is a sign on the door at the Highland Square apartment complex that says it has been seized, and no managers are to enter the premises.
Captain Joseph Daughtry of the Hinds County Sheriff's Department says the complex owes the county $26,000 in taxes. He says management will not be allowed to operate there until the taxes are paid.
Highland square residents, however, are free to come and go as usual from their apartments.
