NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) - Federal court records in Mississippi say an illegal immigrant from Mexico plans to plead guilty to a charge of coming back to the United States after being convicted of a violent crime and deported.
Renaldo Garduza is scheduled for a change of plea March 6 in U.S. District Court in Natchez. He had pleaded not guilty Nov. 9.
Court records say he was pulled over on Interstate 20 in Warren County last October. Police say he had been convicted of assault with a deadly weapon in 2004 and deported from Brownsville, Texas, when he was released from prison in 2007.
