Wednesday's Child - Rashad

FLOWOOD, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Rashad was 10 years old when we first met him two years ago with his other siblings.

He is the sensitive member of the family.

It troubles him that people are not more caring and responsible, especially for children. He is hoping for a forever family on this week's Wednesday's Child.

Rashad is intelligent and thoughtful.

Because his older sister Raven lives in a separate foster home, he tries to check up on how she's doing.

"Raven, she's the best sister that I had, but…you don't get to see her a lot do you? No," Rashad said.

He says sometimes he and his little brother Radarius have disagreements.

"But sometimes we fight," Rashad said.

Basketball is Rashad's favorite sport but he has other hobbies.

"I like to hang out with my friends, play games and play basketball and football," Rashad said.

Rashad's favorite subject is reading. He wants to be a firefighter when he grows up.

"Like something gets on fire and somebody is up in the house, so you put out the fire and. You save people don't you? Yes," Rashad said.

Rashad says he is hoping for parents who will act like grown ups and be responsible.

"A family that's, that lets us play with our toys, do our homework, make us do our homework, and let us go outside, go to school every day, and feed us, and take us to the store," Rashad said.
