Still no money for some Mo' Money customers

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Customers of Mo' Money tax services are still waiting on tax refund checks. "Casey" of Jackson has been calling Value Bank as instructed, but says she has only got the run around.

"Casey" is waiting on a return of over $4,000.00.

"It's very upsetting because people have things to do with that money.   They depend on that money.  Some people take care of their children with that money."

The tax offices in south Jackson and across the south have been closed for two weeks now.

A recent report out of Memphis says that MoMoney CEO Markey Grandberry has filed for bankruptcy. He is also going through a divorce.

Financial statements in that case revealed he is living a lavish lifestyle, complete with exotic cars, and a mansion.

Casey says, "Of course he's got nice cars and a nice house, he's got our money in his accounts."

To compound concerns, tax information with personal information was found near a dumpster behind a Memphis Mo Money office this week.  Now customers are wondering if they could also become the victims of identity theft as well.
