The shooting occurred at the Shady Lane Apartments on 740 Shady Drive in Yazoo City at 7p.m. Friday night.

Sheriff Jake Sheriff tells us 21-year-old Lawrence Shelton, of Yazoo City, was taken to the University Medical Center where he is undergoing surgery for a gunshot wound to the right side.

Four people have been arrested; three from Jackson including two juveniles.

In custody with the juveniles at the Yazoo County Detention Center are 19-year-old Roderick Robinson of Jackson and 25-year-old Meko Edwards of Yazoo City.
