AMA honors Dr. Aaron Shirley

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The American Medical Association honored the work of the founder of the Jackson Medical Mall.

Dr. Aaron Shirley was one of six honorees. Presented in association with Pfizer Inc, the AMA Foundation's Excellence in Medicine awards recognize physicians who are committed to community service and improving access to health care on a local or international level.

The 2012 Excellence in Medicine Award recipients were recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
