Local restaurant holds "The Help" watch party - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
It's a big night in Los Angeles tonight as the 84th annual Academy Awards were handed out.
Here in Jackson there is a lot of excitement surrounding the film "The Help" based on the book by Jackson author Kathryn Stockett.
The Help has been nominated for several awards and the owner of Brent's in Fondren held a watch party.
"We said we just need to do this as a celebration for the movie and for our customers. So we really just said everybody come on out. We've got the big screen and we'll be here to show the movie and had some friends just regular customers that knew the twins who played May Mobley in the movie and they came on out. So just kind of a celebration of the movie and let's all cheer on The Help," said Brad Reeves, owner of Brent's.
