
Governor Phil Bryant was in the nation's capital this weekend for the National Governors Association winter meeting.
Governor Bryant attended meetings on education, healthcare, economic growth and Homeland Security. He met with Governor Robert Bentley of Alabama and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal to discuss regional issues.
Bryant is also discussing national issues affecting every state such as growing the state's economy and ending childhood hunger.
The governors and their spouses attended a White House dinner tonight. Tomorrow the governors will meet with the President and vice president.
First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden will speak to the association about helping military spouses find employment.
