
MCCOMB, Miss. (AP) - Pike County officials say the trial of a 26-year-old Summit man accused in the 2009 slaying of Peggy Sue Wilkinson Carter has been postponed until Sept. 24.
The trial had been set to start March 19 for Kendrick Cowart, who is charged with murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
According to the Enterprise-Journal (http://bit.ly/zyIUyp ) sentencing is scheduled March 26 for two co-defendants. Twenty-7-year-old Terrance London, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. And 22-year-old Tecory Wade, who pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact of murder and armed robbery.
