Andre Leeper, Eyewitness
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A Jackson State student was the victim of a violent carjacking Tuesday morning.
It happened near Winter street and Terry road.
The male victim was bleeding from the head as he was put into an ambulance.
"He had a busted head, might have been hit one time with the pistol or a gun or something, a rock or something. He was kind of delusional so I was trying to help him out, do the right thing," said Andre Leeper, eyewitness.
He told witnesses his car was taken by two black males.
The car is a 2007 maroon Chevy Impala with Copiah County plates and tinted windows.
"I saw this young man walking down the street holding his neck like something was wrong with him," Leeper said. "I went over there and asked him if he was ok. He was bleeding pretty bad. He looked dizzy. I had him sit down and he explained to me someone stole his car, and hit him in the head."
Jackson Police and Hinds County deputies responded to the scene, but have not made any arrests.
