Sound Off: Large drug bust

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Congratulations go to Federal, State and local law enforcement for one of the largest drug busts in Mississippi history.

Thousands of pounds of marijuana are now off our streets and that is good news.

Money laundering and tax evasion were also charges that were part of the investigation.

There is some other very good news from this bust. $854,000 in cash, ten tractor trucks, eight tractor trailers, twelve luxury cars, jewelry and three houses with the proceeds divided among the various cooperating government agencies after the justice system settles the case.

Who says crime doesn't pay, looks like law enforcement hit the 'Jack Pot' with this pot bust.

Great to see the good guys win.
