Woman visiting Hinds County inmate ends up behind bars

HINDS COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A woman who was visiting a man in custody at the Hinds County Sheriff's Department in Jackson is now in trouble with the law.

Bridgette Edwards has been charged with bringing contraband into the facility.

During a mandatory visitor's search, deputies discovered 40.3 grams of marijuana in an envelope.

Edwards was transported to the Hinds County Detention Center in Raymond for booking.
