MADISON COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson man who was on the run is now in custody.
Officers have been searching for Derrick Robinson, 37, since Wednesday morning.

She was shot twice in the head, and in the abdomen.
Robinson fled the scene in a silver Hyundai Sonata with Louisiana plates.
Sheriff Tucker says Robinson was picked up without incident on County Line and Old Canton Road Wednesday night.
Sheriff Tucker also tells us Madison Police, the U.S. Marshal's Service and Hinds County Sheriff's Department helped track down Robinson.
"We were able to follow a trail of leads to a residence in Jackson," Sheriff Tucker said. "We were able to set up surveillance, observe him in a vehicle. All agencies working together we were able to stop him on a traffic stop at that intersection there, and pin him in and take him into custody without incident. No harm to any citizens. Got a dangerous man off the streets."
The shooting victim was alert and talking, when she was taken to University Medical Center.
Her name has not been released.
Sheriff Tucker says at last check she was listed in stable condition.
