Natchez law enforcement investigating a murder

NATCHEZ, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Natchez authorities are investigating a murder Wednesday night.

Carlos Wright, 23, was killed after being shot late Tuesday.

The Natchez Democrat reports an officer was responding to a 9-1-1 call when he was flagged down by a man.

The unidentified man said his friend had been shot and he was attempting to load him into a car to get medical attention.

The officer checked the victim for a pulse but there was not one.

No arrests have been made.
