COPY-Probe: Up to 100 IDs stolen

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A 27-year-old Jackson woman is accused of stealing the identities of up to 100 people, then using the information to obtain credit cards for spending sprees on

Hinds County Sheriff's Department Capt. Joseph Daughtry tells The Clarion-Ledger ( ) a 2-year investigation ended Tuesday with the arrest of Latesha Gunn.

Gunn was released Wednesday on a $5,000 bond following an initial court appearance.

Daughtry says Gunn is now charged with one count of felony identity theft, but will face multiple counts.

He says Gunn is accused of using victims' Social Security numbers and dates of birth to apply for credit cards online and to obtain cellphones and lines of credit.

It was not immediately clear whether Gunn has an attorney.
