Rain chances will increase tonight as a cold front moves into our area. The front will push into south Mississippi by Friday afternoon. Rain and clouds will linger behind the front.
Temperatures will turn much cooler tonight and Friday. I expect lows tonight, as well as our highs on Friday, to remain in the 50s.
Some drier air will briefly build in for Saturday, but it won't last long. Friday's front will begin to move back north by late Sunday. Clouds and rain will overspread the area as the front lifts north.
Finally, Monday into Tuesday, a stronger cold front will move in with another wave of rain and storms. This front should finally clear out our wet pattern.
After Friday, temperatures will warm back up above normal. We'll be well into the 70s most of next week.
I'll be posting weather updates on Twitter throughout the night.
