Jackson Ward 4 Councilman Frank Bluntson has made it official: he plans to challenge Mayor Harvey Johnson, and run for mayor next year.
Bluntson believes he can forge a better relationship between the mayor and council.
Bluntson also wants to streamline the communication process between citizens of Jackson, and City Hall.
"It's a known fact in the city with a lot of churches, a lot of ministers, things like that," Blountson said to WLBT News. "It's my intention to run for mayor in 2013."
Bluntson is currently the city council president.
